If you want a place to get away from it all in Ireland that has something for everyone this summer then head to Enniscorthy. The town itself has plenty of shops like Vodafone Enniscorthy https://kingcommunications.ie/vodafone-stores-near-me/enniscorthy/ to suit your needs, as well as amazing places to eat like Landi’s restaurant.
In the local area there is so much to enjoy – here are just three things that might take your fancy…
The National Rebellion Centre of 1798 – This is a favourite tourist destination that is suitable for all ages and a great historical resource when it comes to learning more about the rebellion of 1798. See exhibits from the time, find out about the weapons used and even take part in a 4D battle experience, set on the famous Vinegar Hill where perhaps the most famous battle of the rebellion took place.
St Aidan’s Cathedral – This cathedral was the largest in Ireland when it was built in 1843. Built by the architect Augustus Welby Pugin who was well known for his style when it came to building beautiful churches. The cathedral gets its name from a local monk who lived in the area during the 7th Century.
Curracloe Beach – In the summer, going to the beach is one of the best things to do with the family. One of the most beautiful beaches in Ireland is Curracloe beach, famed for its beautiful stretches of white sand and of course the fact that it is a blue flag beach. As well as the beach itself it also has a fantastic nature trail and a woodland walk where you may even spot some of the elusive red squirrels that live here.
