Tips to Maximise Every Inch of Your Home

If you live in a small home or apartment, you may struggle with storage and keeping your home clutter-free. This is a problem that you may find yourself always fighting, especially as you acquire more possessions and start to grow your family. One option is to hire a storage space for your items there, however, this can end up costing you a lot of money. Luckily, there are a lot of methods that can help you maximise the storage space in your home. In this article, we will explore some of these methods so you can store away all of your possessions and still have all your living space left.

If your home is limited in square footage, you may need to get creative. One solution to this problem is to install a lot of shelving throughout your home and store a lot of your possessions on these shelves. These shelves do not have to be an eyesore, as you can opt for many different types of shelves, from metal to natural wood effects. You can then place storage boxes on your shelves so your personal possessions are not on show. You can also store a lot of your items such as books, artwork, and plants on your shelves.

If you have a lot of clothes but not enough room in your bedroom to store them all, you may want to consider installing fitted wardrobes. These types of wardrobes are made to measure and can be installed in any small nook in your room that would not normally be used. You can then customise your wardrobe to have either a lot of hanging space or drawers depending on what items you need to store. You can contact a Bespoke Fitted Wardrobes company that can measure up your room and make some wardrobes to fit perfectly in your room. When you live in a smaller home you are going to need to make use of all small nooks and spaces to use as storage. One of these spaces can be under your stairs. By simply installing a false wall and door under your stairs, you can create a great storage space that is not visible to guests. If you have a small loft space, you should also try to make as much use of this as possible and store seasonal items such as Christmas decorations here.
