How to achieve success in your career? We present 8 keys for you to put into practice Take note!
Have you ever wondered why some people achieve success , while others do not? First of all, you have to know that it’s not about luck, but attitude. Here we present 8 behaviors that you should adopt if you want to succeed in your career and make a difference.
1.Enjoy the challenges
When unexpected events arise or they ask us to do a task for the first time, we tend to be frightened and avoid responsibility, instead of thinking of the situation as an opportunity to grow. In these cases, the best advice is to take the initiative. Remember that the greatest rewards will be obtained by those who stand out, not those who try to go unnoticed.
2.Transform failures into opportunities
It is not a simple task, but taking on and learning from failures is essential to success. Remember that it is not simply a matter of finding guilty parties. Instead of wasting your time (and that of others) torturing yourself (or others) for what happened, detect the error and avoid repeating it. The key is to strive to “befriend” your failures and avoid panic every time you make a mistake.
3.Be confident
You would be surprised to know how many people you thought were very capable, I did not know so much. In the end, it’s all about image. Even if you are a naturally shy person, you can learn to change the way others see you , starting with your body language and the tone of your voice. It will not be an automatic process but requires a constant practice.
4.Be optimistic
Try to focus on the brighter side of things, remember that nobody likes to be close to that fellow who complains constantly. If optimism is not a spontaneous thought for you, you can practice it. For example, I wrote a list of your best memories. It may seem silly, but to distinguish the positive aspects of your life will have a positive consequence on your professional or academic performance.
5.Listen to all comments
Many people go through difficulties when receiving comments. Instead of thinking of them as a negative and personal criticism, try to put aside pride and take them as a possibility to improve. If you have trouble handling the impulse, take a minute before answering. You can use a phrase like “I appreciate your comment, but I would like to take a few minutes to reflect privately. Can we talk more about this later? ”
6.Look for a mentor
I distinguished a person who inspires you and approach you to learn. It can be a teacher, a supervisor or even your boss. Do not adopt an annoying attitude, nor try to imitate everything you do just in order to be liked. In the case that you establish a close relationship, never take it lightly: be respectful and try to return the favor when possible.
7.Be ambitious
Let your boss or supervisor know that you aspire for more and are willing to make an effort. That way, you’ll get them to value your ability to face responsibilities, and maybe even get promoted. It is not necessary that you tell them directly, many times, actions speak louder than words.
8.I learned to negotiate
It is very difficult for the members of a team to agree on everything, however, it is necessary that they set a common goal and work to achieve it. This agreement is achieved from the negotiation. The negotiators are highly valued, since they are concerned about contemplating all opinions, and that value will allow them to position themselves better within the company.
